Boltek StormTracker Lightning Detection System
How accurate is it?
Many people ask, how accurate is your lightning detection system?
Well, I think the below images show just how accurate the Boltek StormTracker using NexStorm software really is.
The first image shows several different lightning strikes outside the Buffalo, NY area, captured using the Boltek StormTracker and NexStorm software.
The second image is the NWS radar image out of Buffalo, NY during the same time period.
As you can see, the strike has been circled in red. On the radar image, the storm cell that produced the strike is circled in red.
They look pretty darn close to me. :)
